On this two-year programme, you’ll learn a lot about our business and yourself through four, six-month placements across multiple UK cities. Each placement will give you a deeper understanding of our organisation, as you work across a number of areas tailored to your interests, including:

You’ll notice the diversity of experiences in Credit, as you work with everything from large commercial contracts through to small business loans. Not to mention the work you can do in credit lending, retail lending and insurance risk, too.

Discover what it feels like to be on the front-line. In this placement you’ll likely work in a relationship management role for an entrepreneurial Small to Medium Enterprise client with a £1 million turnover or a mid-market organisation looking to grow turnover of anything up to £750 million.

Specialist areas

We’ll empower you with the choice of where you’d like to make the biggest impact on our business, and see your career prosper. From Commercial Banking Risk, to Conduct & Compliance, to Insurance Risk – there are many specialist risk options to choose from. We’ll listen to your preferences and plot a way forward together.

We’re focused on supporting your development – whatever your interests, so we have mapped out a tailored development journey that includes mentoring, masterclasses and online learning. You’ll also study for an industry-recognised Chartered Banker qualification and learn about everything from Professionalism, Ethics & Regulation to Corporate & Business Banking, Credit to Risk Management. Best of all, you’ll be able to apply your learning in your day-to-day role, so that all of your training is relevant and meaningful.

We’re also keen to enable your professional growth to happen alongside your personal development, so our expansive graduate community will also act as one of your support networks. Here you can share your experiences, build relationships, organise development events and attend social events. And, by the end of the programme, you’ll be more than prepared to step into a career you’ll enjoy.
