FAQs - Industrial Placements
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY?
For the Software Engineering scheme you must be in your penultimate year at University and on track to achieve or have achieved a 2:2 or above, from any university.
We have no requirement for UCAS points for this scheme.
HOW DO I PROVE THAT I AM ON TRACK TO ACHIEVE A MINIMUM OF A 2:2 DEGREE?
We will verify this through asking for your previous transcripts to demonstrate you have to date achieved at least a 2.2 or above and are on track to achieve this on completion of your degree.
WHAT IF I DON’T MEET THE SCHEME’S MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
You must meet all of the entry requirements in order to qualify for the scheme. It’s important that we have a consistent recruitment approach to ensure the process is as fair and effective as possible.
DUE TO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES I DON’T MEET THE MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS. CAN I STILL APPLY?
We assess each case individually, so please get in touch by emailing email@example.com.
Typically, we would expect extenuating circumstances to be validated by an official letter from your university or a medical practitioner, confirming your circumstances.
I HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION, HOW WILL MY ELIGIBILITY BE ASSESSED?
You’ll need to provide the full details of your qualification with your application, which we’ll then verify using NARIC, a tool that assesses the conversion of international qualifications to their UK recognised equivalent. If your international qualification does not meet the minimum UK recognised equivalent required to apply for the scheme, we will be unable to proceed with your application.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT
While we have planned close dates, we may close a scheme early if we receive a sufficient number of high-quality applications, so we recommend you make your application promptly.
For the best experience, you should access the assessments using a common operating system and browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox). We would also recommend, that you access the system using a computer/laptop with a strong Wi-Fi connection.

Positive Action Assessment Scheme (PAAS)
Lloyds Banking Group is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce, which reflects our customer base and allows us to benefit from the widest pool of talent. If you are considering making an application under the Positive Action Assessment Scheme, and have any questions, please contact the team at email@example.com or by calling 0345 330 4576. As part of our Positive Action Assessment Scheme, should you tick the box to declare you are eligible, we may require you to validate this in due course.

CAN I COMPLETE THE ASSESSMENTS WHILST I AM ABROAD?
Yes. All the assessments prior to the Assessment Day can be completed online at a time and place that suits you – whether that’s early in the morning or late into the night. We recommend you pick somewhere quiet though, and it’s a good idea to turn off your mobile phone.
CAN I HAVE FEEDBACK ON MY TESTS?
While we can’t provide individual results, you will receive an Insights report after completing the Online Assessment which will help you understand more about your strengths and areas of development. This is not an indication of whether you have been successful to the next stage.
WHAT DOES THE ASSESSMENT DAY INVOLVE?
Everyone has their own unique combination of strengths and areas for development, so we want to see the ‘real you.’ We’re not expecting perfect performances, so the best way to prepare is by thinking about your natural strengths – the things you enjoy doing and are good at.
